Kondo Yukari has been an NHK World correspondent since 2017. She was previously stationed in Osaka Prefecture, where she covered crime and education, and Iwate Prefecture, where she covered the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. Before joining NHK, she worked for three years at a securities company.
