Noguchi Shuji is one of NHK's most experienced financial correspondents.
He has covered a range of economic stories that have shaped Japan, including the effects of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake on businesses and the yen.
Noguchi has served as the anchor for NHK's nighty business news program.
In the summer of 2018, he moved to New York to take on the role of Senior Correspondent for the NHK General Bureau for America, where he covers financial markets and a wide range of industries in US.
He recently interviewed Nike founder Philip H. Knight, and produced a television documentary on the role that Japanese firms played in the company's dominance.
