At the Kasuga Shrine in Hofu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, the early-blooming cherry blossom, nicknamed "Heart Sakura," is in full color. According to the shrine, this cherry blossom is a variety called "Yokozakura," donated by locals about 30 years ago. As the tree grew, the branches naturally began to resemble the shape of a heart.
