Early blooming sakura bring a pop of color to Fukuoka

"Harumeki" means spring is just around the corner in Japanese, and the early blooming "harumekizakura" cherry trees at a park in Nogata City, Fukuoka Prefecture, are a telltale sign the seasons are changing. The pink flowers, which resemble "bonbori" paper lanterns, typically blossom around the time children graduate from school.
