James Tengan first worked at NHK in his 20s, reading the news on RADIO JAPAN, the global shortwave service. He since has covered major stories, including the 40th anniversary of Okinawa's reversion from the US and a session of the National People's Congress in Beijing. These days, he can be found at the anchor desk of NHK NEWSLINE.
