Morishita Erika

Morishita Erika's broadcasting career includes stints at NHK's Fukui and Sendai bureaus before coming to the Tokyo headquarters. She's covered stories across Japan, including the aftermath of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. As one of NHK's certified diving journalists, she's also committed to reporting on -- and from -- the underwater environment. Erika spent part of her youth in California. These days, international viewers will find her at the anchor desk of NHK NEWSLINE, and domestic viewers can see her on the national news program, NEWS 7.
