Japan's Emperor lays wreath on tomb of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip

Japan's Emperor Naruhito has laid a wreath on the tomb of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip.

The Emperor traveled to St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle near London on Thursday. He and Empress Masako were officially invited to Britain by King Charles.

The Emperor had reportedly wished strongly to go to the chapel, the final resting place of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, who passed away in 2022 and 2021, respectively.

He told reporters that he visited the tomb to express his deep gratitude for everything they did for him.
