Ohtani Shohei named National League Player of the Week

In Major League Baseball, Ohtani Shohei of the Los Angeles Dodgers has been named the National League Player of the Week for the second time this season.

This is his ninth overall weekly award in the Major Leagues, setting a new record for the most weekly awards for a Japanese player.

In the six games between last Monday and Sunday, Ohtani went 11 for 24, for a batting average of .458, with four home runs and 11 RBIs.
