N.Korea says it conducted firing involving super-large multiple rocket sub-units

North Korea says it has conducted what it calls a power demonstration firing involving super-large multiple rocket sub-units under the supervision of the country's leader Kim Jong Un.

North Korea's ruling Workers' Party newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, made the report on Friday. It said the demonstration was conducted to show the country's will not to hesitate to carry out a preemptive attack against South Korea.

A released photo shows nearly 20 missiles being fired simultaneously from mobile launchers.

The South Korean military said that the North launched more than 10 projectiles believed to be short-range ballistic missiles from the Sunan area near Pyongyang on Thursday.
