Zelenskyy: Main focus is on Ukraine's entire border areas

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the entire border areas with Russia will be among the key battlegrounds.

Zelenskyy said on Wednesday that he had been briefed about the situation on the frontlines by Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.

The president said fighting continues primarily in the directions of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region and Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region. Russian forces have been stepping up their assaults in Kharkiv since they crossed the border there earlier this month.

Zelenskyy said, "The main focus is on the entire border area, not only in the Kharkiv region but also in the Sumy region."

Meanwhile, Ukrainian media outlets reported that the country's military inflicted damage to Russian Black Sea Fleet's missile ship Tsiklon in Sevastopol, a military port city in Moscow-occupied Crimea.

The report said the attack carried out on Sunday had used the US-provided Army Tactical Missile Systems, or ATACMS.

The Ukrainian military claimed that the Black Sea Fleet may have lost its last missile ship in Crimea.

In the meantime, the Russian Navy has recently relocated its fleet stationed in Crimea to the Novorossiysk naval base in southern Russia.
