Ohtani hits 12th home run of season, Dodgers wins a sweeping victory

In Major League Baseball, Ohtani Shohei of the Los Angeles Dodgers belted his 12th home run of the season in a game against the San Francisco Giants. The Japanese superstar contributed to the team's victory.

Ohtani started as the designated hitter, batting second in Tuesday's game in San Francisco. It was his second game after missing one on Sunday due to lower-back tightness.

In his second at-bat in the fourth inning, with no man on base, he blasted his 12th homer of the season to right-center field. It was Ohtani's first homer in six games, which gave his team the first run of the game.

Reflecting on the home run, Ohtani said "I was able to hit a relatively easy ball with a good swing from the first pitch that led to a good result."

Ohtani also hit an RBI double in the seventh inning, and went three-for-five with two RBIs in the game.

After the game, his batting average of .361 is the highest, and his 12 homers are tied for the second-most in the MLB.

The Dodgers beat the Giants 10 to 2, winning two games in a row.
