Colorful carp-shaped streamers are flown across Japan at this time of year for Children's Day on May 5. But if you want to see one of the biggest, head to Kazo City in Saitama Prefecture.
Locals hoisted the huge fish into the air on Friday using a crane. The streamer is 100 meters long and weighs 330 kilograms.
In the morning, the wind was too weak. But in the afternoon, the carp started floating, delighting those who looked on.
Kazo is famed for producing streamers.
