Japan's main opposition CDP projected to win all 3 Lower House by-elections

Three Lower House by-elections were held in Japan on Sunday. NHK projects that candidates from the main opposition Constitutional Democratic Party will win all three seats, including the No.1 district of Shimane Prefecture, where the CDP and the main governing Liberal Democratic Party faced each other.

The LDP did not field candidates in Tokyo's No.15 district or the No.3 district in Nagasaki Prefecture.

The results are expected to affect the management of the government led by Prime Minister Kishida Fumio.
