Thai police hunt Japanese suspects over abandoned body

Body parts of a Japanese man have been found in a Bangkok suburb in Thailand in what appears to be a case of murder. Thai police are searching for two Japanese men suspected of being involved.

The police say bags containing parts of the man's body were discovered last week in Nonthaburi Province, neighboring the Thai capital.

A skull with an apparent gunshot wound was found hundreds of meters away from the initial discovery site on Tuesday.

Police say the body was dismembered and then abandoned.

They arrested a Thai man on Tuesday, who said he drove three Japanese men, including the victim, to a warehouse near Bangkok. He reportedly said the two men got into a quarrel with the victim in the car and then shot him dead.

Investigators suspect there was trouble between the victim and the other Japanese men.
