Tokyo's Toyosu market adds food village, spa

Tokyo's Toyosu fish market is adding a spa and Edo-themed restaurant village that focuses on seafood. The Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai complex opens Thursday. Operators aim to appeal to tourists.

The development includes 65 restaurants and shops and a facility with a bath and hotel.

The opening had been delayed by the withdrawal of operators and the coronavirus pandemic.

It was initially planned for 2018. That's the year Tokyo's Tsukiji fish market was moved to Toyosu.
