Japanese investigative sources say a suspected fugitive believed to have been involved in a bombing attack in Tokyo in the 1970s has died.
A man claiming to be Kirishima Satoshi died in a hospital in Kanagawa Prefecture near Tokyo on Monday.
Kirishima was a member of the East Asia Anti-Japan Armed Front. The group was held responsible for 12 bombing attacks in 1974 and 1975, targeting companies doing business abroad.
Police officers are conducting DNA analysis and other means to confirm his identity.
