Israel's military says its troops and security authorities have discovered a 55-meter-long tunnel 10 meters deep under the Al-Shifa Hospital complex in the Gaza Strip.
The military published footage believed to have been taken by a drone as it moved from above the ground through what appears to be a shaft and reached an underground tunnel-like space.
They say they have also found a blast-proof door inside the tunnel.
The military says, "The findings clearly prove that numerous buildings in the hospital's complex are used by Hamas as cover for terrorist infrastructure and activities." It adds, "This is further evidence of the cynical manner Hamas uses the residents of the Gaza Strip as a human shield."
