North Korea may launch spy satellite in a week or so, S.Korea says

South Korean Defense Minister Shin Won-sik says "within a week or so" Pyongyang may conduct its third launch of a military spy satellite.

Shin made the remarks in a TV program aired on the country's public broadcaster KBS on Sunday.

He said South Korea and the United States are monitoring the North's movements as the launch could take place in the next week or by November 30.

The defense minister said Pyongyang is believed to have largely resolved engine problems with Russian help to make way for a satellite launch.
