A New York-based NPO, Committee to Protect Journalists, says at least 42 journalists and media workers have been killed in the ongoing fighting between the Israeli military and the Islamic group Hamas.
The figure released by the CPJ covers the period from October 7, when the conflict began, through November 15.
Of the 42 casualties, 37 are Palestinian, four Israeli and one Lebanese. Nine Palestinian journalists have died over the past two weeks.
In addition, nine journalists were reported injured, three are reported missing and 13 were reportedly arrested.
The CPJ says it is also investigating numerous unconfirmed reports of other journalists being killed or detained.
