In northeastern China, three people are reported to have died when a gymnasium roof collapsed on Monday night.
State-run media say there were seven people in the gym on the outskirts of Jiamusi, Heilongjiang Province, when the roof fell in. Three are reported to have escaped unharmed, while one sustained light injuries.
A heavy snow warning had been issued for the Heilongjiang region. Television footage shows snow covering the tops of nearby buildings.
Media reports say the person responsible for the gym's management has been detained and the accident is being investigated.
Heilongjiang authorities have been conducting inspections of gymnasiums in the province since a school gym roof collapsed in July, killing 11 people.
