N.Korea: Kim Jong Un to travel to Russia for talks with Putin

North Korea's state-run Korean Central News Agency reported on Monday that leader Kim Jong Un will soon visit Russia to hold talks with President Vladimir Putin.

This will be Kim's second summit with Putin -- and his first since April 2019.

It will also be his first confirmed trip abroad since the coronavirus pandemic.

The specific timing or location of the visit has not been disclosed.

Officials in Moscow also confirmed Kim's visit. The presidential office said that he will soon make an official visit to the country at Putin's invitation.

Observers say Putin seems willing to discuss the possibility of having Pyongyang supply weapons to his military as the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues.
