Romania concerned about Russian attacks along Danube

Romanian Foreign Minister Luminita Odobescu has denounced continued Russian attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure along the Danube River that borders her country.

During a news conference in Germany on Monday, Odobescu said Romania condemns in the strongest terms the attacks targeting Ukrainian ports and civilian infrastructure along the river.

Parts of Ukraine along the Danube have been hit by a series of Russian attacks. Ukraine's military said Russian forces conducted an overnight drone attack into Monday.

Odobescu said the attacks are meant to prevent Ukrainians from exporting their cereals.

She said the drone attacks didn't pose any direct military threat to her country. But she admitted there is a risk because the Russian assaults are happening "very close" to her country's borders.
