Passenger allegedly opened door of South Korean airliner on domestic flight

A South Korean airliner landed with one of its doors open in Daegu on Friday. Police are questioning a male passenger who says he pulled the lever to open the door.

Asiana Airlines says 194 people were on the domestic flight. Some passengers were taken to hospital with breathing difficulties. Their symptoms are said not to be serious.

The airline says an emergency door suddenly opened at an altitude of about 200 meters, shortly before the plane was to land in Daegu. The plane had taken off from the southern island of Jeju.

Footage posted on social media shows wind blowing through the open door buffeting passenger's hair and seat covers.

Asiana says a man in his 30s seated just in front of the emergency exit has admitted opening the door.
