Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio's wife Yuko hosted a dinner for the spouses of Group of Seven leaders on Friday in Hiroshima, western Japan, where the summit is underway.
US First Lady Jill Biden was among those who attended the dinner at Hiroshima Orizuru Tower.
The five spouses chatted over French cuisine made with ingredients from Hiroshima Prefecture, including roast Hiba Gyu beef.
After dinner, they met Hiroshima Mayor Matsui Kazumi, who told them about the planting of tree saplings that survived the US atomic bombing of the city in World War Two.
They also took in a performance by Hiroshima musicians and tried their hands at calligraphy using locally-produced Kumano brushes.
