East Japan Railway Company says services have been suspended on some sections of its Uchibo Line in Chiba Prefecture.
Services on the Tohoku Shinkansen, Joetsu Shinkansen and Hokuriku Shinkansen lines are operating as usual.
Other railways are operating normally as well.
