Japan's Crown Prince and Crown Princess Akishino have arrived in the United Kingdom to attend the coronation of King Charles III.
A government plane carrying the couple touched down at Stansted Airport in a London suburb on Thursday.
They were greeted by Japan's ambassador to the UK, Hayashi Hajime, and other officials. Later, they got in a car and headed for a hotel in central London where they will stay.
This is their first official visit to the UK. They will attend a reception hosted by King Charles at Buckingham Palace on Friday and the coronation at Westminster Abbey on Saturday.
