Russia: Ukraine tried to kill Putin with drone attack on Kremlin

Russia's presidential office accused Ukraine on Wednesday of using two drones to attack the Kremlin in an attempt to kill President Vladimir Putin.

The presidential office said Russian radar disabled the drones and parts of them fell on the premises of the Kremlin. No damage was reported.

The Kremlin called the actions "a planned terrorist act" and "an assassination attempt" on Putin ahead of Russia's May 9 Victory Day parade.

It said Putin is not injured and has not changed his schedule.

The Kremlin said the Russian side reserves the right to take "retaliatory measures where and when it sees fit."
