German gunman kills seven at Jehovah's Witness hall

Police in Germany say seven people including an unborn baby died in Thursday's shooting at a Jehovah's Witness center in Hamburg. The figure does not include the gunman, who took his own life.

Investigators say the suspect is a 35-year-old former member of the Jehovah's Witness community.

They say there were about 50 people at the facility when he opened fire. Eight other people were also injured.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said the attack left him speechless. He sent his thoughts to the victims and their relatives.
