Ukrainian minister and 13 others die in Kyiv helicopter crash

Investigators in Ukraine are trying to determine the cause of a helicopter crash in a Kyiv suburb. Ukrainian authorities say at least 14 people were killed, including a government minister.

Government officials onboard the helicopter were flying in foggy weather to what they called a "hot spot" in the fighting. The helicopter crashed near a nursery.

Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyy died along with other ministry officials. Twenty-five people were injured, including a child.

President Zelenskkyy said, "The pain is unspeakable." and called the victims "true Ukrainian patriots."

Investigators say there was no fighting in the area and are looking into other possible causes, including pilot error and mechanical failure.
