Severe Tropical Storm Nanmadol is disrupting flight services across wide regions of Japan.
As of 7 p.m. on Monday, Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways had canceled a total of 844 flights for the day, mainly those to and from the Kyushu, Shikoku, Chugoku and Kansai regions.
Japan Airlines plans to cancel 43 flights scheduled for Tuesday and All Nippon Airways will cut 24.
Other airlines are also canceling services through Tuesday, mainly on routes serving the Kyushu, Shikoku and Tokai regions.
