Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro held a massive re-election rally on Wednesday as the military staged a parade celebrating the country's Independence Day.
Brazil will choose its next president in a vote on October 2.
Bolsonaro's rally in Rio de Janeiro was held on the 200th anniversary of Brazil's independence from Portugal. The military parade included an air show and parachute jumps.
Bolsonaro told his supporters that Brazil has huge economic potential and that his re-election will lead to better politics in the country.
The latest polls show the right-wing Bolsonaro trailing leftist politician Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva by over 10 points. Lula led the country for two terms between 2003 and 2010.
At the rally, Bolsonaro repeatedly lashed out at his rival, who is gaining support on the back of growing economic disparity in the country.
He said he has nothing to discuss with supporters of the left.
