A man has died after being trapped under rubble following the collapse of a part of a warehouse in the western Japanese prefecture of Yamaguchi.
A local fire department received a report shortly after 1 p.m. on Wednesday that the warehouse had partially collapsed in Shimonoseki City, trapping people.
Police say the walls and eaves of the building fell down and hit seven vehicles parked nearby. They say three of the vehicles each contained an employee of the firm operating the warehouse.
Police said two of them were rescued and are conscious.
The other in his 50s was later rescued and taken to a hospital. Police said, however, he was confirmed dead.
They said there were no other persons injured in the building collapse.
