Trump blasts FBI raid, Biden administration at Pennsylvania campaign rally

Former US President Donald Trump has slammed the Federal Bureau of Investigation's search of his Florida residence as well as his successor's administration at a campaign rally in the eastern state of Pennsylvania.

Trump spoke on Saturday in Wilkes-Barre, which is near the birthplace of President Joe Biden. The speech was the first Trump delivered in public since the FBI searched Mar-a-Lago last month.

Trump said, "The Mar-a-Largo raid was a desperate effort to distract from Joe Biden's record of misery and failure."

He also hit back at the speech Biden delivered on Thursday, in which the president accused Trump and his supporters of undermining US democracy.

Trump said, "We are the ones trying to save our democracy, very simple."

The campaign rally was held in the run-up to the midterm elections in November. Pennsylvania is considered to be a key battleground state.

Biden is scheduled to go to the state on Monday, his third visit in a week.
