International Criminal Court to set up local office in Ukraine

International Criminal Court prosecutor Karim Khan says his organization will open a field office in Ukraine to speed up the investigation of alleged war crimes.

In a statement on Friday, Khan said the office will be crucial in deepening the ICC's engagement with all actors in Ukraine and accelerating its investigative activities.

He said, "Every person who picks up a gun, drives a tank or launches a missile should know that they can be held accountable where crimes are committed."
