Italian gas company Eni has revealed that its supply of natural gas from Russia will be reduced by about 15 percent.
Eni told local media on Wednesday that it was notified of the drop by Russia's state-affiliated gas giant Gazprom. It added that the reason for the reduction was not disclosed.
The company also said it is constantly monitoring the situation, and noted that there have not been any serious problems with its gas supply.
Italy relies on Russia for about 40 percent of its natural gas imports. It has been turning to North Africa, the Middle East and other places to diversify its gas supply sources following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
