Police in Tokyo have reportedly seized earbuds from the home of a Chinese national arrested on suspicion of cheating on a university entrance exam earlier this year in Tokyo.
The police suspect the man used the earbuds to listen to the answers to test questions.
Earlier, the police arrested the man and another Chinese man on suspicion of fraudulent obstruction of business.
The alleged cheating took place at the entrance exam for international students at Hitotsubashi University in January.
The man allegedly sat the exam, took an image of the test questions and sent it to the other arrested man.
A third party was allegedly asked via social media to provide the answers.
The man reportedly passed the exam and was enrolled at the university.
The police have not disclosed whether the two suspects have admitted to the allegation.
In a separate case, papers were sent to prosecutors for two people suspected of cheating in the standardized university entrance exams that were also held in January.
