22 killed in Pakistan minibus accident

At least 22 people, including nine members of one family, were killed on Wednesday when a minibus fell into a ravine in southwest Pakistan.

The accident happened early morning in a remote area of Balochistan, around 200 kilometers north of the provincial capital, Quetta. Witnesses say the bus was speeding when the driver lost control.

The sole survivor is a child, who's reportedly in a critical condition.

The exact cause of the crash was not immediately known, but deadly traffic accidents are common in Pakistan due to poor road infrastructure and disregard for traffic laws, as well as poorly maintained vehicles.
