Govt.: N.Korea fired at least 6 missiles

The Japanese Defense Ministry says at least six ballistic missiles were launched eastward from North Korea on Sunday morning.

Ministry officials believe the missiles likely fell into the sea outside Japan's exclusive economic zone. They also say no damage to Japanese aircraft or ships has been reported.

The projectiles reached estimated altitudes of about 50 to 100 kilometers and travelled around 300 to 400 kilometers. Some of them could have moved on an irregular trajectory.
