Blinken calls on Putin to immediately end war against Ukraine

The United States has once again called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to immediately end the war in Ukraine as 100 days have passed since his forces launched the invasion.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement on Friday that "Neither the United States nor our allies and partners seek to prolong the war to inflict pain on Russia."

He told Ukrainians that his country stands with them and will help defend their "sovereignty and territorial integrity."

He ended the statement by saying that "Ukraine will prevail."
