Deadly flash floods hit Indonesian island of Java

Flash floods caused by heavy rain on Indonesia's main island of Java have killed at least 8 people.

Flooding hit the eastern part of the island on Thursday.
Indonesia's National Disaster Management Agency says at least 8 people are dead and 3 are missing in East Java province. Homes in the area have been inundated.

Officials are searching for the missing and are urging residents living near rivers to evacuate.
