The Tokyo Metropolitan Government reported 684 new cases of the coronavirus in the capital on Thursday.
The figure is 159 fewer than a week ago and marks the 14th straight day of week-on-week decline.
Tokyo officials confirmed 11 deaths from the virus on Thursday.
The seven-day average of daily infections through Thursday is 585, or about 83 percent of the figure for the previous week.
People in their 20s accounted for the largest number of cases with 180, followed by people in their 30s with 139 and those in their 40s with 112.
Tokyo's total count of coronavirus infections now stands at 159,094.
Officials say 69 coronavirus patients are in serious condition, one fewer than on Wednesday.
