Local authorities in Mexico City say 23 people were killed and at least 70 injured when an elevated overpass in the Mexican capital collapsed sending a subway car plunging to the street.
The accident occurred at around 10:30 p.m. on Monday.
Images show the structure and train broken to form a V shape. Rescue personnel can be seen preparing to search for any other passengers who may still be trapped in carriages.
The subway line running on the overpass was reportedly built about 10 years ago.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the accident.
