N.Korea leader inspects housing project site

North Korea's ruling party newspaper says the country's leader Kim Jong Un has inspected a construction site for a housing complex in Pyongyang. He reportedly said that the potential of the independent economy should be displayed once again.

The Rodong Sinmun carried the report in its Thursday edition.

The conceptual drawing for the complex shows apartment buildings along a river.

The newspaper says scientists, educators and writers, as well as those with notable achievements in labor, will live in the complex.

Kim attended a ground-breaking ceremony for 10,000 homes at another site in the capital last week.
