A massive fire has hit refugee camps in southern Bangladesh that are hosting minority Rohingya Muslims from neighboring Myanmar.
Reuters news agency and other sources say the fire started at a camp in Cox's Bazar on Monday. They report that several people have been killed or are missing.
Video from the site shows black smoke billowing as the fire spreads, and people fleeing with their belongings.
The AFP news agency quoted local authorities as saying the fire broke out at one of about 30 camps in the area and has spread to others. The report says at least 20,000 people have evacuated.
Many Rohingya people who escaped violence at the hands of Myanmar's military have been living in refugee camps in Bangladesh.
International group Human Rights Watch says about one million people live there.
