Officials from Japan and South Korea are getting set for another round of dispute negotiations at the World Trade Organization.
The meeting in Geneva is scheduled for November 19th.
It will be the second chance for the two sides to resolve their differences.
Seoul launched a WTO dispute settlement procedure in September over Tokyo's decision to tighten export control on three high-tech materials.
Negotiators failed to find common ground in the first round of consultations last month, with South Korea insisting that the measure violates WTO rules.
Japan maintains the measure is the result of a domestic operational review to ensure proper export management of manufacturing materials.
