Muraoka wins gold in women's giant slalom

Japanese Paralympian Momoka Muraoka has won a gold medal in alpine skiing at the PyeongChang Games.

Muraoka won the women's giant slalom sitting event on Wednesday.

The gold is her fourth medal at the games, following a silver and 2 bronze medals. It is also the first gold won by a Japanese at the games.

Muraoka is a 21-year-old college student. Her legs were paralyzed at age 4 by a spinal disease.
