Ingredients (Serves 1)

  • 100 g tuna (sashimi/block)
  • [A]

    • 1 tsp soy sauce
    • 1 tsp sake
  • 1 green bell pepper (30 g)
  • 1/2 paprika (red) (60 g)
  • [B]

    • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
    • 1 tbsp French dressing (store-bought)
    • 1 pack bonito (skipjack tuna) flakes (5 g)
    • 2 tsp white sesame seed
    • A pinch of chili pepper
  • Potato starch, as needed
  • Oil for frying, as needed

Directions

1

Cut the tuna at an angle into bite-size slices. Marinate for 5 minutes in [A]. Drain and place in a plastic bag filled with enough potato starch to shake and coat the slices. Dust off the excess. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan to a height of about 1 cm. Heat to 165°C and deep-fry the tuna for 3-4 minutes, occasionally turning over the slices.

2

Remove the stems and seeds from the bell pepper and paprika. Cut into thin shreds.

3

Combine [B] in a bowl. Add the tuna and shredded vegetable and mix together.
