Aonori-flavored Deep-fried Chikuwa Tube-shaped Fish Cakes
Bite-size chikuwa (tube-shaped fish cakes) sprinkled with bright green aonori! A favorite bento item!

- 1 chikuwa tube-shaped fish cake (thick)
- 2 tbsp tempura batter mix
- 2 tbsp ice-cold water
- 1/2 tbsp aonori seaweedNote
Filamentous seaweed, dried and crumbled into flakes.
- Frying oil
Cut the chikuwa into five or six pieces.
Pour the tempura batter mix into a bowl. Add the water and mix lightly. Add the aonori powder and mix.
Put the chikuwa into the batter and coat evenly.
Heat the frying oil to 180 degrees Celsius and fry the chikuwa.
Drain on a cooling rack, using a paper towel if necessary.
