Chicken Breast Steamed with Cabbage
Beautiful presentation with avocado and tomato. You can use bean sprouts instead of cabbage, too.

Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 1 chicken breast (250 g)
- 1 tbsp potato starch
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 300 g cabbage
- 1 avocado
- 1 tomato
- 1 tsp granulated chicken stock
- 100 g pizza cheese
- Olive oil
- Black pepper (coarsely ground)
Cut the chicken into bite-sized sogi-giri slices. Place the chicken in a plastic bag and add the ingredients for [A] to completely immerse the chicken.
Cut the cabbage into large bite-sized pieces. Remove the pit and the skin from the avocado and slice into half-rounds. Slice the tomato into half-rounds.
Spread out the cabbage in the frying pan to cover the bottom, then sprinkle 1 tbsp of olive oil and the granulated chicken stock over top. Add layered slices of chicken, tomato, and avocado on top to fill the frying pan, then sprinkle with cheese. Cover and heat over medium heat to steam-stew for about 10 min. Sprinkle with a small amount of black pepper and serve.
Advice for a filling meal: Use plenty of cabbage, so the moisture that cooks out of it can gently cook the chicken through.
