Natto Miso Soup

The Japanese eat natto most often for breakfast. Mix natto really well and serve it on top of steamed rice.

Ingredients (Serves 2-3)

  • 400 ml dashi
  • 1 tbsp miso
  • 1/2 pack natto
  • 1 bag nameko mushrooms
  • 1/2 atsuage (diced)

Directions

Bring the dashi to a gentle boil and dilute the miso. Add the chopped natto, nameko and atsu-age, and simmer briefly.
